"KCC Targets Southeast Asian Market with Large-Scale Seminar in Vietnam"

Strong Local Interest in AI Tinting System
Vietnam's Paint Market Worth 1.3 Trillion KRW with High Growth Potential
"Expanding Promotional Activities Across Southeast Asia"

KCC announced on the 16th that it held a large-scale seminar on the 14th (local time) in Hanoi, Vietnam, attended by more than 200 participants, including representatives from construction companies, design firms, contractors, and paint distribution agencies.

At the seminar, KCC introduced its key technologies and products, including: ▲ 'KCC Smart 2.0,' an AI-based next-generation in-can (IN-CAN) tinting system; ▲ 'Firemask,' a fire-resistant coating with the thinnest film thickness in Korea; ▲ 'Color Navi Plus,' an AI-based automotive refinish color solution; and ▲ an eco-friendly antifouling coating for ships that inhibits marine organism attachment.

In particular, there was reportedly strong interest in KCC Smart 2.0 at the seminar. Vietnam, with an area about 3.3 times that of South Korea and a relatively underdeveloped nationwide logistics system, requires factories and agencies to exchange samples for tinting and color verification under the conventional 'factory tinting system,' a process that can take several days. However, KCC Smart 2.0 enables on-site tinting, dramatically reducing the tinting process time. Earlier this year, KCC proactively introduced and has been operating this system at two agencies in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

Additionally, KCC expects that interest in its fire-resistant coatings, automotive refinish coatings, and tinting solutions will continue to grow in Vietnam as awareness of fire safety in buildings increases and automobile ownership rates rise.

KCC's direct communication with local stakeholders in Vietnam to showcase its technological and product capabilities is aimed at strengthening its position in the increasingly competitive Vietnamese market and expanding opportunities to enter new markets. Due to Vietnam’s high economic growth rate, urban redevelopment, infrastructure expansion, and the growing middle class, demand for coatings is surging and competition among global coating companies is intensifying. The total paint market in Vietnam is estimated at approximately 1.3 trillion KRW.

A company representative stated, "Through this seminar, we will strengthen our local network, widely promote KCC's technological capabilities and brand competitiveness, and actively expand our promotional activities throughout Southeast Asia."
