GS25 announced on June 16 that it will launch value-for-money beverage and alcohol promotions for the summer season. From June to August, GS25 will run the 'DrinkKING Festa' campaign, offering large-scale discounts on summer beverages and alcoholic drinks.


Throughout June, the promotions include: ▲ four large cans of carbonated drinks for 6,000 won 1+1 deals on 178 types of beverages bundle discounts on beer from Thursday to Sunday and a 15% discount when purchasing two or more bottles of Makgeolli. Customers who pay with a Samsung Card can receive a 20% discount on the wine and whisky of the month through a QR discount, and a 1,000 won discount is applied to 16 types of highballs.

On June 16, GS25 is launching the 'Copperwork Can 500ml' sparkling beer and is offering a promotion where customers can purchase five cans for 5,000 won, making it 1,000 won per can. The Copperwork Can 500ml is a sparkling beer brewed by a brewery under 'Damm,' one of the top three groups in the Spanish beverage market, and is characterized by a rich malt aroma and a smooth, refreshing taste. The price per can is 1,700 won, and the alcohol content is 4.5%.


From June 16 to June 30, a 'Night Opening Time Sale' will be held for large-sized beverages from 9:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. The promotion covers a total of 11 types, including ▲Chilsung Cider 1.5L ▲Pepsi Zero 1.5L ▲Crushed Pear Juice 1.5L ▲Citrus Juice 1.5L ▲Toreta 900ml, and offers a 30% discount when purchasing two or more items.


This event was planned to boost store sales and ease the burden on consumers amid high inflation, as demand for beverages and alcoholic drinks increases due to the summer heat and tropical nights. In fact, according to GS25's sales data from June 1 to June 12, beverage sales rose by 21.4% and alcohol sales by 10.3% compared to the same period in the previous month. The surge in demand for cold beverages and alcoholic drinks is attributed to the intensifying heat.
