The Yulha The Sky City Emergency Countermeasures Committee held a rally on a roadside near the Changwon District Court on June 16, following last week's rally and solo protest, to call for court approval to convene a temporary general meeting of the cooperative.

The committee stated that a temporary general meeting must be held to address key agenda items, including the dismissal of the cooperative president and executive board, as well as the introduction of a term system for the president and a delegate system.
They said, "We are about to move in, yet we do not know why we had to pay an additional 42 million won in contributions, nor do we know the cooperative's account balance, including unpaid service and construction fees, litigation costs against construction companies and others, and dividends from lawsuits." They added, "We have repeatedly requested disclosure of deposit and withdrawal records, but our requests have been ignored."
They also questioned, "Currently, the general sale price is about 420 million won, while the cooperative sale price is about 445 million won. Shouldn't we know the reasons why the apartment we've waited ten years for is more expensive than the general sale?"
They further stated, "The cooperative president and others have been reported to authorities over various allegations, including violations of separate contracting and the use of cooperative assets for personal purposes. When a member demanded an explanation regarding these issues on the cooperative's online band, they were forcibly removed."
They emphasized, "It is beyond common sense that the president and board members pre-approve matters and then submit them as agenda items at the general meeting to induce approval. We must convene a temporary general meeting to put the confidence of the president and board members to a vote."

The cooperative held a temporary general meeting at the Changwon Convention Center (CECO) on Friday, April 18, but it was canceled due to a lack of quorum.
A committee representative claimed, "The April temporary general meeting could not even open the ballot box due to the president's scheme to block his own impeachment and disrupt the meeting."
He added, "It is incomprehensible that the temporary general meeting was held in Changwon, not Gimhae, on a weekday afternoon, and that, unlike previous meetings conducted via electronic voting, only written resolutions were accepted on that day. Furthermore, the president even sent text messages to members urging them not to attend the temporary general meeting or vote."
He continued, "The 500-seat Changwon CECO convention hall was so packed that many people were standing, yet the claim that only 471 people attended and that there was no quorum makes no sense. If a temporary general meeting is held in Gimhae on a weekend and electronic voting is used, the entire executive board will be dismissed with 100% certainty."
He stressed, "To protect the rights and interests of members and ensure transparent cooperative management, it is absolutely necessary to dismiss the president and board members."

The committee explained that if the court permits the temporary general meeting, it will effectively be the last such meeting.
A committee representative stated, "The cooperative is scheduled to be dissolved between September and October. Once it is dissolved, all documents will be destroyed, and we cannot remain unaware of everything."
He further emphasized, "It is essential to verify the documents accurately, and if there are any illegal activities, those responsible must be held legally accountable. The president, who has trampled on voting rights by sending messages urging members not to attend the temporary general meeting and vote, and who faces allegations of breach of trust and embezzlement, must be dismissed as soon as possible."
Yulha The Sky City Zenith & Frau, where move-ins began in February 2024, is a mixed-use complex located in Sinmun-dong, Gimhae. It was developed as a nationwide regional housing project with a total project cost of 1.8 trillion won.
The complex consists of 3,764 apartment units and 629 officetel units, totaling 4,393 units. Currently, the cooperative has 2,483 members, excluding those who have been expelled in the interim.
