The special lectures are scheduled to take place from July 7, after the end of the first semester final exams, until October 31, when the survey on elective subject demand is completed.

Along with information about financial subjects, the program will also provide career education introducing jobs in the financial sector.

An official from the Financial Supervisory Service said, "The 'Finance and Economic Life' class, newly established this year as an elective subject for high school freshmen, is scheduled to begin next year," adding, "We decided to offer special lectures for first-year high school students so that more students can choose the subject."

Applications can be submitted on the e-Financial Education Center website after identity verification from today until August 29.

For schools partnered with a financial institution under the "One Company, One School" program, the partner financial company will conduct the special lectures. For schools without such partnerships, instructors from the Financial Supervisory Service or interested financial companies will teach the classes.
