[Tomorrow's Weather] Rain Nationwide from Afternoon... Thunder and Lightning Centered in Central Regions

On Sunday, the 15th, most regions across the country are expected to experience rainfall. In the afternoon, heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is forecast, especially in the central regions.

On the 14th, the Korea Meteorological Administration predicted very heavy rain of around 30mm per hour on Jeju Island. Starting in the afternoon, rain will begin in the central regions, Jeolla region, and western inland Gyeongsang, and is expected to expand nationwide by nighttime.

In the central regions, there will be places where gusty winds, thunder, and lightning occur. Most areas will see the rain stop by the morning of the 16th, but on Jeju Island, rain is expected to continue in some areas until nighttime.

The expected precipitation amounts are: capital region (Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and the five West Sea islands) 20-60mm; inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon 10-60mm; east coast of Gangwon 5-20mm; Chungcheong region 10-60mm; southern region (excluding the southern coast) 10-40mm; southern coasts of Jeonnam and Gyeongnam 20-60mm; northern Jeju Island 10-40mm; and the rest of Jeju Island (excluding the north) 30-80mm (with some areas exceeding 100mm).

The morning low temperatures are expected to range from 18 to 23 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius. In inland areas, daytime temperatures are expected to rise to around 30 degrees. The forecasted minimum temperatures for major cities are: Seoul 22 degrees, Incheon 20 degrees, Chuncheon 20 degrees, Gangneung 20 degrees, Daejeon 21 degrees, Daegu 21 degrees, Jeonju 21 degrees, Gwangju 22 degrees, Busan 21 degrees, and Jeju 22 degrees.

The expected maximum temperatures are: Seoul 30 degrees, Incheon 27 degrees, Chuncheon 31 degrees, Gangneung 27 degrees, Daejeon 31 degrees, Daegu 32 degrees, Jeonju 31 degrees, Gwangju 29 degrees, Busan 25 degrees, and Jeju 28 degrees.

Fine dust concentrations are expected to remain at 'good' to 'normal' levels in all regions.
