The number of new housing subscription units nationwide in the third week of June was found to be the third lowest so far this year.
According to RealToday, a real estate research firm, a total of 935 units will be available for subscription in the third week of June across seven locations nationwide (including public-supported private rentals, officetels, general supply of vacant units, and national housing; excluding Happy Housing). This is the third lowest figure this year, following 167 units in the second week of February and 911 units in the second week of January.
In the Seoul metropolitan area, new supply is scheduled for Seoul Eunpyeong New Town The Etree The First in Eunpyeong-gu (public-supported private rental, 10 units), Yeouido High-End 1ST in Yeongdeungpo-gu (officetel, 45 units), and Sangbong Station Ubora First Reeve in Jungnang-gu (officetel, 25 units). In Gyeonggi Province, Yeoju Station Rosebiang The Centum in Yeoju-si (744 units) is also set to open for subscription.
Among the major offerings, on June 17, Daekwang Construction will begin first-priority subscriptions for Yeoju Station Rosebiang The Centum in Hongmun-dong, Yeoju-si, Gyeonggi Province. The complex will consist of eight buildings ranging from two basement levels to 25 above-ground floors, with a total of 744 units sized between 84 and 160 square meters. On the same day, Sehee Construction will also open first-priority subscriptions for Jinwi Station Sehee Star Hills The Park View (Phase 3) in Jinwi-myeon, Pyeongtaek-si, Gyeonggi Province. This project consists of 17 buildings ranging from two basement levels to 29 above-ground floors, with a total of 1,659 units sized between 59 and 84 square meters, of which 53 units will be supplied in the third phase.
In regional areas, Sunun District Dasaroum in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju (general supply of vacant units and national housing, 28 units) will also accept subscription applications.
This decrease in new supply is due to a "wait-and-see" approach among construction companies. With a supply drought expected in the near future, each company is reportedly deliberating until the last moment over the timing of their sales launches in order to attract as much consumer interest as possible.
