On June 13, President Lee Jaemyung mentioned his schedule, including a meeting with business leaders, an emergency review regarding Israel's airstrike on Iran, and visits to frontline military units and border villages. He stated, "We will be a reliable shield so that the people of our nation can live their daily lives with peace of mind."

On June 14, President Lee wrote on Instagram under the title 'A Report to the People from Lee Jaemyung Today,' saying, "The most important mission of politics is to protect the safety and peace of the people," and delivered this message.


He also introduced the meeting with business leaders and heads of the six major economic organizations held the previous day at the presidential office in Yongsan, writing, "We have decided to prepare countermeasures against trade pressure from the United States and other issues."


President Lee also reported that he held an emergency review meeting regarding the Israel-Iran airstrike, stating, "Our top priority is to ensure the safety of our citizens abroad, and we will also take all necessary measures to prevent our economy from suffering significant damage due to external shocks."


He also shared the results of his visit to the Sangsungbiryong Unit in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, and the border area. President Lee said, "I visited the Sangsungbiryong Unit and the Biryong Observatory to encourage the soldiers stationed in the border area and to inspect the security readiness posture," adding, "I expressed my gratitude that, thanks to the dedication of our military, all citizens are able to enjoy a peaceful daily life."


He continued, "I met with residents of the border area in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, who have suffered from North Korea's loudspeaker broadcasts toward the South," and added, "They told me that although they had struggled for a long time, losing sleep at night and finding daily life difficult, the issue was resolved just a few days after my inauguration, and they were deeply moved."


Regarding his visit to Cheongsan-myeon in Yeoncheon County, where the rural basic income pilot project is being implemented, he said, "I received the welcome news that the population has increased and the local community has become more vibrant since the project began. I hope to see continued positive results in the future."
