A fire broke out at a single-family house in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, around 3:26 a.m. on June 14 and was extinguished after about two hours.

As a result of the fire, a woman in her 70s who lived in the house died.
The entire house was destroyed by the fire, and a nearby house was partially burned as well, resulting in property damage estimated at approximately 68 million won by the fire department.
The fire completely burned down the two-story house, which was about 40 square meters in size, and was brought under control after about two hours.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and the circumstances of the incident, based on statements from neighbors who reported hearing an explosion.
