Gijang County in Busan announced on June 13 that on June 10, the Gijang Green Onion Farming Cooperative (CEO Kim Sungcheol) and the Gijang Small Business Association (Chairman Jung Soonwon) signed a business agreement to expand agricultural product distribution and develop sales channels for small businesses.

This agreement was established to enhance the brand value of "green onions," a local specialty of Gijang, and to strengthen the foundation for mutually beneficial cooperation with local small businesses.
Through the agreement, the two organizations will jointly cooperate to secure sales channels for green onion shipments and to establish a stable supply system. They also plan to actively support small businesses so that they can receive high-quality agricultural products consistently and reliably.
The Gijang Green Onion Farming Cooperative will focus on strengthening a producer-centered distribution system, while the Gijang Small Business Association will utilize its local network to promote the expansion of sales channels, provide marketing support, and carry out activities to boost consumption.
Kim Sungcheol, CEO of the cooperative, stated, "This agreement will establish a stable distribution foundation for Gijang green onions and serve as an opportunity for agriculture and commerce in the region to grow together. We will work to strengthen the competitiveness of agricultural products through various cooperation models."
Jung Jongbok, the county governor, said, "Creating an ecosystem where local specialties and small businesses can grow together is one of the core goals of Gijang County. I hope this agreement will provide practical help in revitalizing the local economy and increasing farmers' income."
