Four Core Areas: Finance, Health, Housing, and Mental Well-being
Dongdaemun District in Seoul will operate the practical, customized education program "2025 Youth Life Academy" eight times from June 20 to July 23, aiming to improve the quality of life and strengthen the self-reliance capabilities of local youth.
This academy is structured around four areas?finance, health, housing, and mental health?focusing on real-life concerns that young people experience in their daily lives, and providing practical education that can be immediately applied.
The "Youth Academy for Protecting Your Finances" offers financial education where participants can review their spending habits and learn asset-building strategies tailored to different life stages. The "Youth Academy for Protecting Your Health" features lectures on how to take nutritional supplements by a pharmacist, as well as stretching and self-care health management demonstrations by a physical therapist.
The "Youth Academy for Protecting Your Housing" is designed to provide practical support for independent living, including making interior accessories, organizing and storage tips, and self-space design education for young people living alone. The "Youth Academy for Protecting Your Mind" supports mental health recovery, with a psychiatrist and a psychological assessment expert offering guidance on mental care and psychological interpretation.
The program is open to youth aged 19 to 39 who either reside in or have their daily life in Dongdaemun District. All lectures are held on weekdays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., making it accessible for young professionals after work. Sessions will take place at "Seoul Youth Center Dongdaemun" (210 Wangsan-ro), located in front of Cheongnyangni Station Square, ensuring excellent accessibility.
Lee Pilhyung, head of Dongdaemun District Office, stated, "This Youth Life Academy provides practical education to help young people solve the various problems they face in reality," and added, "We will continue to support young people so that they can grow as independent agents of their own lives and live together with the local community."
