Yeongju City Supports Smart Factory Construction... Accelerating Digital Transformation of Small and Medium Manufacturers

Recruitment of Participating Companies Begins on the 23rd
Up to 70 Million KRW in Support

On June 13, Yeongju City announced that it will begin accepting applications from June 23 for companies wishing to participate in the "Gyeongbuk-type Smart Factory (Basic Level) Support Project," which aims to support the digitalization of manufacturing sites for small and medium-sized enterprises.

This project is designed to help local small and medium-sized manufacturing companies build production systems that incorporate smart technologies such as IoT (Internet of Things), AI (Artificial Intelligence), and cloud computing. The goal is to enhance overall corporate competitiveness by improving process efficiency and product quality.

Selected companies will receive support for up to 70% of the costs incurred for establishing a smart factory and introducing automation equipment, with a maximum limit of 70 million KRW. Tangible results such as process improvement, reduction of defect rates, and increased productivity are expected.

This year, three companies will be selected. Companies wishing to participate can apply online through the Smart Factory Project Management System. Details of the project announcement can be found on the Gyeongbuk Technopark website.

Kim Myungja, Director of Corporate Support at Yeongju City, said, "I hope this project will serve as an opportunity to promote digital transformation and strengthen the competitiveness of local manufacturing companies," and requested active interest and participation from local businesses.
