Public Recruitment for Inaugural Executives of Sejong Lifelong Education and Policy Research Institute

Six Executives Including President, Part-Time Directors, and Part-Time Auditor

Public Recruitment for Inaugural Executives of Sejong Lifelong Education and Policy Research Institute

On June 13, the Sejong City government announced that it is publicly recruiting the inaugural executives to lead the Sejong Lifelong Education and Policy Research Institute, which will integrate the functions of policy research and lifelong education.

Previously, in March, the city enacted the "Ordinance on the Establishment and Operation of the Sejong Lifelong Education and Policy Research Institute," thereby providing a legal foundation for establishing an independent policy research institution.

The positions open for public recruitment are one full-time president, four part-time directors, and one part-time auditor.

The term of office is three years (with the possibility of reappointment). The inaugural president will be selected from among those who have experience as a university professor, a high-ranking government official, or a full-time executive at a research institute. Part-time executives will be selected from individuals who possess professional knowledge and have extensive experience.

The Executive Recommendation Committee for the Sejong Lifelong Education and Policy Research Institute plans to review applications and conduct interviews, after which it will recommend candidates to the mayor.

Subsequently, the mayor will select the final appointees from among the recommended candidates. The candidate for president will undergo a personnel verification process through a confirmation hearing at the Sejong City Council.

Applications will be accepted from June 16 to June 30. Applicants may submit their applications either in person or by email.
