On June 13, the Chungnam Health and Environment Research Institute announced that it has joined the 'Child Abuse Prevention Relay Campaign,' which is being jointly promoted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the National Center for the Rights of the Child.
This campaign is a relay initiative aimed at spreading a 'positive parenting culture' by respecting children as independent individuals and ensuring they can grow up in a safe environment free from abuse.
Director Jung Geumhee of the Health and Environment Research Institute participated in the campaign after being nominated by Director Kim Youngok of the Social Service Institute. Jung then nominated Seong Hoseon, Chief of the Chungnam Fire Department, and Seong Uje, Chairman of the Provincial Audit Committee, as the next participants.
Director Jung stated, "Health and environment are directly linked to the healthy growth of children," and added, "Through various activities such as ensuring safe food, a pleasant living environment, and protection from infectious diseases, the institute will support children so that they can grow up healthy and respected."
