On June 13, Sampyo Group announced that it had delivered a donation of 15,740,000 won for children with developmental delays to the Eunpyeong District Office. The funds were raised through the "SPread the Love" employee empathy project.

The employee empathy sponsorship project, which has been ongoing since 2023, is one of Sampyo Group's flagship social contribution activities. Stories of children in need are shared with all employees via the groupware system, and those who empathize voluntarily participate in the sponsorship.

This year, five families with children with developmental delays who are experiencing financial hardship were selected as beneficiaries. Developmental delay refers to a condition in which a child's developmental level is slower than that of peers, resulting in an inability to perform behaviors typical for their age group.

Through the empathy and voluntary support of its employees, Sampyo Group collected a total of 15,740,000 won, which was donated. Nam Yoonsik, president of the company’s volunteer club, attended the donation ceremony as the employee representative, adding significance to the spirit of empathy and sharing.

The donation will be used through the Community Chest of Korea to cover treatment and academy expenses for children with developmental delays in the Eunpyeong District area.

Yoo Yongjae, head of Sampyo Group’s Social Contribution Division, said, "We hope that the donation, made possible by the care and generosity of our employees, will provide some support to children with developmental delays," adding, "We will continue to pursue a variety of social contribution activities so that employee empathy can lead to concrete action."

Meanwhile, in June of last year, Sampyo Group also delivered a donation of 15,130,000 won to the Korea Alliance for Rare Diseases for children with rare diseases, and continues to carry out various social contribution activities to support the healthy growth and development of children.
