Operating Unbiased Recruitment Procedures...
Securing Outstanding Talent
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (YGPA, Acting President Hwang Hakbeom) announced on June 13 that it had been certified as an excellent institution for fair recruitment for five consecutive years, as a result of establishing and operating a blind-based, job-centered recruitment system that completely excludes discriminatory factors on June 12.
The Excellent Institution for Fair Recruitment Certification is a system that grants certification to public institutions and companies that exemplarily operate fair recruitment practices focused on job competency and free from bias. The certification is awarded through document reviews and on-site inspections by the Korea Management Certification Institute, a professional certification body.

YGPA was highly evaluated for its strengthened recruitment procedures, which include systematically establishing recruitment principles and detailed regulations based on a high level of understanding of fair recruitment, enhancing the management of external evaluation committee members and outsourcing agencies, and having auditors present throughout the entire recruitment process.
Acting President Hwang Hakbeom stated, "The authority is striving to secure outstanding talent by establishing recruitment procedures focused on competency and job requirements, aiming to achieve empathic recruitment that goes beyond fairness," and added, "As our efforts have been recognized with the Excellent Institution for Fair Recruitment Certification for five consecutive years, we will work even harder to promote the value of fair recruitment."
