The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced on the 13th that it recently held the "Appliance NEXT: Company-Youth Connection Project Marketing Talk Meeting," which focuses on planning youth projects centered on the marketing issues of local home appliance companies.
This meeting was organized as part of the Regional Innovation Project, under the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s Regional and Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project. Its aim is to identify practical marketing tasks for the home appliance industry in Gwangju and to connect these with youth work experience opportunities. Out of the 17 cities and provinces nationwide, only nine regions were selected to implement this project. Since last year, Gwangju City has continued to develop a region-specific job creation model centered on the home appliance industry.
At the meeting, five companies that submitted a letter of intent to participate?including SY Company, New Green Korea, Daom Electronics, and Dawon DNS?attended and shared their marketing issues and practical tasks. The companies presented a variety of assignments, such as brand strategy development, SNS content planning, and global market target marketing. Together with representatives from International Career and the Gwangju Regional Human Resources Development Committee, they discussed the possibility of adjusting the tasks and linking them with educational programs.
Going forward, participating companies will submit an application and task proposal, and then sign a tripartite agreement with the operating and educational institutions to officially launch the assignments. Through this agreement, the operation methods and roles for each task, the youth matching and mentoring systems will be formalized. After completing specialized job training programs designed to respond to industrial structure changes, youth participants will work in teams to carry out the practical assignments proposed by the companies.
Jeon Eunyoung, Head of the Cooperation Business Division at the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated, "This meeting is more than a simple survey of task demand; it is the starting point for planning practical assignments that address real corporate challenges together with young people. We will actively support companies in pre-verifying outstanding talent and help youth strengthen their practical skills and connect to employment opportunities."
Meanwhile, the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry is currently recruiting additional small and medium-sized enterprises related to the home appliance industry in the region to participate in the Connection Project. Any company that wishes to propose assignments in areas such as marketing planning, product promotion, content creation, or technology development is eligible to participate.
