Uiseong County Council Opens 282nd 1st Regular Session

Ordinance Bills, Settlement Reviews, and Major Issues for 2024 to Be Examined Over 17 Days
Responsible Legislative Activities Anticipated

The Uiseong County Council in Gyeongbuk, chaired by Choi Hunsik, convened the 282nd 1st Regular Session on the morning of June 10, beginning a 17-day session that will run through June 26.

Uiseong County Council Opens 282nd 1st Regular Session The 282nd 1st Regular Session of the Uiseong County Council in Gyeongbuk opened, announcing responsible legislative activities to review major issues for 2024, including ordinances and settlement bills, over a period of 17 days.

During this regular session, the council plans to conduct an in-depth review of overall county administration, including a total of six ordinance bills, the approval of the 2024 fiscal year settlement, approval of reserve fund expenditures, and the adoption of the administrative audit report.


The ordinance bills include three proposed by council members: the "Ordinance on Supporting Search Activities for Missing Persons in Uiseong County" by Oh Hoyul, the "Ordinance on Creating a Youth-Friendly City" by Kim Hyunchan, and the "Ordinance on Supporting Piezoelectric Processing of Agricultural By-products" by Kim Minju. In addition, three bills submitted by the executive branch will be reviewed: a partial amendment to the "Ordinance on Improving Mobility Convenience for the Transportation Vulnerable," a full amendment to the "Ordinance on the Establishment and Operation of the Price Countermeasures Committee," and a full amendment to the "Ordinance on the Operation of the Agricultural Machinery Rental Business."


The council will also conduct inquiries on overall county administration, adopt the administrative audit report for 2025, and review the approval of the 2024 revenue and expenditure settlement as well as the approval of reserve fund expenditures.


In his opening remarks, Choi Hunsik emphasized, "This regular session is a valuable opportunity to revisit major issues of county administration and seek policy alternatives to improve the quality of life for residents. We will faithfully represent the will of the people and carry out responsible legislative activities."
