This project aimed to improve the level of traffic service at the roundabout, which has been in operation since its installation in 2018. The work utilized the site where the Marine Corps Veterans Association container was demolished and was carried out after conducting traffic analysis and establishing improvement measures for sections with chronic congestion in Yangpyeong-eup and Gangsang-myeon.

Yangpyeong County improved both convenience for vehicle users and overall traffic flow by adding a right-turn lane from Gangsang-myeon toward Yangpyeong-eup, reorganizing lane guide lines, expanding the turning radius, and upgrading vehicle crossing areas. In addition, the installation of raised crosswalks and speed bumps is expected to help prevent traffic accidents.

Governor Jeon Jinseon of Yangpyeong County stated, "Through this project, traffic flow near Yangpyeong Bridge, especially during commuting hours, has become smoother, and the risk of traffic accidents is expected to be greatly reduced. As this project prioritized the convenience and safety of residents in their daily lives, I would like to thank the residents for their cooperation and patience during the construction period. In the long term, the expansion of Yangpyeong Bridge to four lanes should be pursued."

Meanwhile, Yangpyeong County plans to continue installing roundabouts at major intersections and areas with heavy traffic congestion as needed in the future.
