The Gwangju Regional Veterans Office announced on June 11 that it held the 'Bobo K.I.D.S Pangpang Land' event to commemorate the Month of National Defense and Veterans in June.
The event, held at Jeongam Elementary School on the same day, was organized so that all students could experience, share, and participate in the concept of veterans affairs. The 'K.I.D.S' in 'Bobo K.I.D.S Pangpang Land' stands for inspiring the dreams and spirit of the Korean people.
The event was designed to help students naturally cultivate a spirit of patriotism through various experiential play zones and performances related to veterans affairs, such as a National Defense and Veterans Short-form Video Contest, a Veterans Fun Sports Day, a Flag Competition, and a Magic Bubble Show.
The 'National Defense and Veterans Short-form Video Contest' was held from May 13 to June 8, inviting participants to choose one of three themes?independence, national defense, or democracy?and create a short-form video of up to 60 seconds. Over 100 entries were submitted. On this day, 18 outstanding works were awarded prizes such as Samsung Buds3 Pro, photo printers, active smart bands, and cultural gift certificates.
Kim Seokki, head of the Gwangju Regional Veterans Office, stated, "This event was organized to share and build consensus on veterans culture with the next generation. We will continue to hold events where veterans' families and citizens can participate together, striving to make veterans affairs a living part of daily life and something for everyone."
