Gijang County Conducts 'Major Industrial Accident Drill' with County Head Participation Ahead of Summer

Gijang County recently conducted an emergency response drill involving the county head at the Jwagwangcheon Local Garden area to prevent major industrial accidents.

This drill was organized to prepare for safety incidents that may occur during the intensive grass-cutting work in the summer. The main objectives were to strengthen on-site emergency response capabilities and to assess the effectiveness of the emergency action manual.

County head Jung Jongbok personally participated in the drill, working alongside employees to follow emergency response scenarios and divide roles, focusing on practical, hands-on training.

Through this drill, the county also provided training on the safe use of work tools such as sickles, pre- and post-work inspection items, and tool storage and management. These efforts aimed to raise safety awareness among on-site workers and to enhance their practical response capabilities.

Jung Jongbok emphasized, "Only repeated education and training can save lives in emergency situations," and urged staff to review the on-site emergency action manual and immediately address any shortcomings.

Gijang County plans to continue on-site inspections and customized training during intensive summer work periods, focusing administrative resources on preventing safety accidents among on-site workers.
