Kim Dae-jung Peace Center to Hold 25th Anniversary Ceremony of June 15 Inter-Korean Summit

Commemorative Ceremony and Special Lecture at Yonsei University on June 12
Former Minister Lim Dongwon to Speak on "The Path to Peaceful Prosperity"
About 300 Attendees Including Speaker Woo Wonshik and Senior Secretary Woo Sangho

The Kim Dae-jung Peace Center is organizing a special lecture to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the June 15 Inter-Korean Summit.


On June 12, the Kim Dae-jung Peace Center will hold the "25th Anniversary Ceremony and Special Lecture of the June 15 Inter-Korean Summit" at the Convention Hall of the Kim Dae-jung Library at Yonsei University. The event is co-hosted by the Kim Dae-jung Library at Yonsei University and the Kim Dae-jung Nobel Peace Prize Memorial, with support from the Mapo-gu District Office in Seoul.


The first part of the ceremony will include a commemorative address by Kim Sungjae, Chairman of the Kim Dae-jung Nobel Peace Prize Memorial, a screening of a special video on the June 15 Inter-Korean Summit, and congratulatory remarks from National Assembly Speaker Woo Wonshik, Senior Presidential Secretary for Political Affairs Woo Sangho, Yonsei University President Yoon Dongseop, Chairman of the Kim Dae-jung Foundation Kwon Nokap, and Mapo-gu District Mayor Park Kangsu.


In the second part, former Unification Minister Lim Dongwon will deliver a special lecture on the theme "The Path for the South and North to Live Peacefully and Prosper Together." This will be followed by a lecture from Park Myunglim, Director of the Kim Dae-jung Library at Yonsei University, on the topic "The Philosophy and Vision of June 15: Toward a Nation of Peace, Diplomacy, and Coexistence."


Approximately 300 people are expected to attend the event, including Mapo-gu District Mayor Park Kangsu; former National Assembly Speakers Kim Wonki, Lim Chaejung, and Moon Heesang; and National Assembly members Choo Mi-ae, Yoon Hojoong, Kwak Sangun, and Kim Junhyung.
