Jeon Hyeongsik Discusses Expansion of Exchanges
with Jilin Province Vice Governor on June 11
Chungnam Province has decided to strengthen interregional economic and industrial cooperation with Jilin Province in China, including the ginseng industry.
On June 11, Jeon Hyeongsik, Deputy Governor for Political Affairs of Chungnam Province, met with Yang Andi, Vice Governor of Jilin Province, and other members of the delegation in the external reception room of the provincial government office to discuss ways to expand exchanges between the two regions.
The main agenda items discussed during the meeting included revitalizing exchanges in the economic sector, expanding cooperation in the ginseng industry, and mutual participation and support for the Northeast Asia Expo.
After visiting the provincial government office, the Jilin Province delegation toured major ginseng industry sites in the province, including ginseng cultivation areas, to observe the excellence of Chungnam's ginseng and examine processing technologies.
Going forward, the province plans to develop and implement various policies for practical cooperation with Jilin Province, such as ginseng industry-focused seminars and personnel exchange programs.
Jeon Hyeongsik, Deputy Governor for Political Affairs of Chungnam Province, stated, "This was a meaningful occasion that further solidified ongoing exchanges and economic and industrial cooperation between the two regions," adding, "The province will continue to expand exchanges with Jilin Province in various fields in the future."
