Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority is recruiting 40 trainees for the 'Maritime Logistics Academy' until June 19 to foster professionals in the maritime, port, and logistics sectors. Eligible applicants are young residents of the province (aged 19 to 34) or those who have graduated or are expected to graduate from universities in the province.
Since 2017, Pyeongtaek Port Authority has been providing free education fully funded by the provincial government to train maritime logistics professionals for Pyeongtaek Port, address workforce shortages in the industry, and strengthen the competitiveness of Pyeongtaek Port.
The program will be held from July 7 to August 4 at a lecture hall near Gyeongbokgung Station in Seoul. The main curriculum includes theoretical courses on international logistics and port operations, such as forwarding practices and cargo transportation, as well as field training at Pyeongtaek Port, mentoring by industry professionals, and special lectures on resume writing and interview skills.
To apply, download the application form from the Pyeongtaek Port Authority or Korea International Freight Forwarders Association websites and submit it via email (kiffa@kiffa.or.kr).
Pyeongtaek Port Authority will determine the final successful candidates through document screening and interviews.
