This survey is conducted every three years in accordance with Article 3 of the Parking Lot Act, and covers all parking facilities, including on-street, off-street, and attached parking lots. It also examines the status of safety management and the usage of vehicles parked or stopped on roads.

The survey, which includes on-site inspections, is scheduled to be completed by November 2025. Based on the results, Seongbuk District plans to analyze parking issues by area and use the findings as foundational data for establishing parking-related policies, such as mid- to long-term parking lot expansion plans and designating parking environment improvement zones.

Seungro Lee, Mayor of Seongbuk District Office, stated, "Through this survey, we will objectively assess the status of parking facilities and usage, and do our utmost to develop practical parking policies tailored to the unique characteristics of each neighborhood in order to resolve parking issues."
