The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) announced on June 11 that it has posted the '2025 Second Round Elementary, Middle, and High School Equivalency Exam Implementation Plan' on its website and will begin accepting applications for the exam starting from June 16.
Applications can be submitted both in person and online. The in-person application site will be set up at Sodamjeong on the basement level 1 of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education. The application period runs from 9:00 a.m. on June 16 to 6:00 p.m. on June 20.
Online applications can be submitted through the 'NEIS Equivalency Exam Public Service' and are available until 6:00 p.m. on June 19, which is one day shorter than the in-person application period.
The 2025 Second Round Equivalency Exam will be held on August 12. The test centers are as follows: for the elementary school equivalency exam, Hanbada Middle School; for the middle school equivalency exam, Geoje Girls' Middle School; for the high school equivalency exam, Dongyang Middle School (Test Center 1), Busan Girls' Middle School (Test Center 2), Jangsan Middle School (Test Center 3), and Hwamyeong Middle School (Test Center 4). Additionally, test centers will also be set up at Busan Correctional Institution and Busan Oryun School.
The results will be announced on August 29 and can be checked on the office's website. For further details regarding the implementation of the equivalency exam, please refer to the announcement posted on the website.
