SK AX and SAP agreed on this strategic partnership at the SAP Sapphire event held in Madrid, Spain, on the 28th of last month.

This collaboration focuses on redesigning ERP systems around AI and realizing the benefits of implementation. The two companies will strengthen their strategic cooperation across all areas of AI in the future, and will work together on technology integration, system development, operation, and expansion.

SK AX will build a system with SAP based on embedded AI. In addition, SK AX will integrate its proprietary digital AI technology, enabling the ERP to recognize situations, analyze them, and even propose actions.

The two companies will also work on implementing a "Shared Service support system," in which AI performs some ERP operational tasks. This system is designed to allow AI to automatically handle similar ERP operational areas across different companies, thereby reducing costs.

Manos Raptopoulos, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of SAP, said, "SK AX is a strategic partner in the Korean market with strong field-oriented execution, and is an important collaborator in expanding SAP Business AI. This partnership will accelerate AI-based business innovation for enterprises."

Gunil Son, Head of Enterprise Services at SK AX, stated, "We have already completed the technical preparations for effectively integrating AI technology into ERP, and now the key is to implement and expand it in real customer environments. We will work with SAP to create a trustworthy AI-powered ERP model."
