Preferential Interest Rates for Customers Who Served the Nation, Including National Merit Recipients, Military Personnel, Police Officers, and Firefighters
Upon Maturity, Both the Customer and Hana Bank Each Donate 815 KRW to Support Independence Patriots
Hana Bank announced on June 11 that it has launched the "Daehanminguk Manse 80th Anniversary Savings Account" to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Korea's Liberation.
The "Daehanminguk Manse 80th Anniversary Savings Account" is a new financial product introduced in June, the Month of Patriots and Veterans, through collaboration between Hana Bank and the Daejeon Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. The account offers a maximum annual interest rate of 8.15%, including preferential rates. Customers can deposit between 10,000 KRW and 200,000 KRW per month, and the contract period is one year.
First, Hana Bank provides a preferential interest rate of 2.0% per annum for customers who have served the nation, such as national merit recipients, military personnel, police officers, and firefighters. In addition, the bank offers various interest rate benefits, including: ▲2.0% per annum for newborns or parents of newborns born in 2025 (the 80th anniversary of Liberation), ▲1.15% per annum for first-time Hana Bank customers, and ▲1.0% per annum for customers who complete a pledge to practice patriotism, such as hoisting the national flag.
Furthermore, for each account, 815 KRW from the customer's maturity interest and an additional 815 KRW contributed by Hana Bank?totaling 1,630 KRW per account?will be donated to support independence patriots. Customers who sign up for the product will also have the chance to receive various benefits through a lottery, such as the "80th Anniversary of Liberation Commemorative Coin," free admission to memorial facilities, and professional soccer match tickets.
A Hana Bank official stated, "We launched this product to remember those who sacrificed for Korea, such as national merit recipients and independence patriots, and to promote the spread of a culture of honoring veterans. Hana Bank plans to continue introducing mutually beneficial financial products that can grow together with various members of society."
The "Daehanminguk Manse 80th Anniversary" savings account will be available for sale until the end of December, with a limit of 81,500 accounts. Detailed information about this product can be found on the Hana Bank mobile app "Hana OneQ" or at Hana Bank branches.
