First Partnership Case Among Domestic Fashion Platforms

On June 11, Kakao Style announced that Zigzag, the fashion platform it operates, will introduce the 'YouTube Shopping Partnership Program' starting from the 12th.

The YouTube Shopping Partnership Program allows creators to tag Zigzag's products in video content such as videos, Shorts, and live broadcasts, enabling viewers to purchase products directly while watching. Creators who meet the eligibility requirements can link products sold on Zigzag to their video content after a simple registration process.

This collaboration marks the first partnership between YouTube and a domestic fashion platform. It is expected to provide an immersive shopping experience, reflecting the growing trend of 'content-based consumption' among people in their teens and twenties.

Stores registered on Zigzag can expect to expand brand awareness, attract new customers, and increase sales through content. Discounted products featured in the largest sale event of the first half of the year, '2025 Zigjackpot Summer Black Friday,' which starts on the 16th, are expected to be tagged and introduced by YouTube creators.

A Kakao Style representative stated, "The collaboration with YouTube is an important starting point for Zigzag as it moves beyond a simple shopping platform to create a new distribution structure that combines content and commerce. We plan to lead the future of shopping where customers can discover, experience, and purchase through content by collaborating with creators."

A YouTube representative said, "We are pleased that this collaboration with Zigzag, a leader in domestic women's fashion trends, can expand monetization opportunities for YouTube creators. We will continue to strive to provide an integrated shopping experience that connects creators and viewers."
