Woori Bank announced on June 11 that it had signed a "Business Agreement for Expanding Future Growth Engines and Advancing as a Global Leading Company" with Woori Investment & Securities and the Hi Seoul Business Association on June 10.
The signing ceremony took place at Woori Bank's headquarters, attended by key representatives from the three organizations, including Bae Yeonsu, Head of Corporate Group at Woori Bank; Nam Gicheon, CEO of Woori Investment & Securities; and Park Mikyung, President of the Hi Seoul Business Association.
The Hi Seoul Business Association operates the "Hi Seoul Company" certification program, which is an accreditation system for promising companies recognized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The association provides tailored consulting and networking support for its approximately 1,100 member companies at each stage of their growth.
Under the agreement, Woori Bank will match small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies recommended by the Hi Seoul Business Association with its dedicated corporate finance organization, the "BIZ Prime Center," and will provide free access to its digital supply chain finance platform service, "OneBiz Plaza." In addition, Woori Investment & Securities plans to actively support these companies in entering the capital market by offering investment consulting and assisting with initial public offerings (IPOs).
A Woori Bank representative stated, "Woori Financial Group continues to expand financial support to foster new growth industries with promising future potential, such as AI and advanced industries. Even amid increasing economic uncertainty due to recent global tariff wars, Woori Bank and Woori Investment & Securities are joining forces to help technologically advanced SMEs and mid-sized companies achieve stable growth."
Meanwhile, Woori Financial Group operates BIZ Prime Centers in 12 regions nationwide. Through dedicated managers assigned to each center, the group continues to provide customized growth support for SME and mid-sized company clients, ranging from funding and asset management to investment and consulting.
