Gokseong County Successfully Concludes "2025 Organic Day"

Gokseong County (Governor Cho Sangrae) announced on the 10th that the "2025 Organic Day Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Direct Market," held on the 7th at Namak Central Park in front of Jeonnam Provincial Office, concluded successfully.

The Eco-friendly Agriculture Association designates June 2nd each year as "Organic Day" and holds commemorative events. This year's event, now in its third edition, was held under the slogan "A Pure Choice for the Earth, 2025 Organic Day." Producers and consumers gathered in one place to share the value of eco-friendly agriculture and to explore directions for sustainable future agriculture together.

The county showcased Seokgok Nonghyup's "Baeksemi" rice and "Baeksemi Nurungji" made in a traditional cauldron, both of which were very popular. In particular, Baeksemi Nurungji sold out due to its savory taste and healthy ingredients, attracting enthusiastic interest from consumers.

A total of 47 booths were set up at the event venue, offering a variety of experiences and educational content such as direct sales of organic agricultural products and processed foods, hands-on organic rice cake making, tasting and promotional activities, and consultation programs. Visitors were able to purchase healthy foods at reasonable prices and experience the eco-friendly agricultural environment, expressing a high level of satisfaction.

Side events designed to encourage participation from the next generation also drew attention. The "Organic Golden Bell Quiz Contest," the "Youth Dance Competition," and the newly introduced "Organic Food Essay Contest" all received enthusiastic responses from family visitors.

A county official said, "Organic Day is a meaningful event that widely promotes the value of sustainable agriculture and eco-friendly agricultural products. We ask for continued interest and participation in future gatherings where producers and consumers come together."
