True to its name, the job fair provided a variety of employment opportunities so that all citizens?including youth, middle-aged individuals, women with career experience, and people with disabilities?could seek quality jobs without discrimination.
At the fair, 25 recruiting companies conducted on-the-spot interviews with participants to fill 226 job openings, and some companies proceeded with immediate hiring on site.
The city also operated a Job Information Center to make it easy for citizens to access information about employment support policies and programs offered by job-related organizations participating in the event.
Notably, this year, the city operated the "Specialized High School and Youth Zone" for the first time, targeting youth and soon-to-be graduates of specialized high schools, which received an enthusiastic response.
Namyangju City also prepared a range of customized support programs for young people, including various youth policies and job consulting and mentoring by professionals from different fields, providing practical help to those taking their first steps into society.
Mayor Joo Kwangdeok stated, "This job fair was a venue for mutual growth, created through the collaboration of the city, local companies, and related organizations." He emphasized, "Namyangju City will continue to create sustainable jobs by attracting companies in advanced industries such as AI and bio industries, centering on the newly established Wangsuk Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex."
Meanwhile, the city held a total of three small-scale recruitment events, called Recruitment Matching Days, in the first half of the year. It also plans to actively promote employment for job seekers by holding additional small-scale customized recruitment events as needed in the second half of the year.
