Gyeonggi Province Superintendent of Education Taehee Lim, during a meeting with delegations from the Ministries of Education of three African countries, stated, "The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is making active efforts to share educational content with students abroad who wish to study the Korean language," and promised, "We will actively expand educational exchanges."
On the 10th, Superintendent Lim made these remarks at the southern office of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education in Suwon, where he met with senior officials from the Ministries of Education of the Republic of Namibia, the Republic of Uganda, and the United Republic of Tanzania, as well as representatives from UNESCO headquarters and the Korea Education and Research Information Service, totaling about 30 participants.
Superintendent Lim first explained, "Gyeonggi education is closely applying digital and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to education to enable personalized learning for students," and added, "Along with strengthening language education for multicultural students, we are making active efforts to share educational content with students abroad who wish to study the Korean language."
He continued, "All of you visiting today play a pivotal role in advancing future education in Africa," and requested, "If there are any needs or joint projects you wish to pursue through educational exchanges, please feel free to make various requests to the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education."

He also added, "Gyeonggi education aims to share quality educational content with the world so that future generations of students can grow and prosper together as global citizens," and proposed, "I suggest that everyone here join forces so that the future generation can build a more open, peaceful, and fair global society through cooperation."
This year, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is actively pursuing a policy to expand the number of countries involved in international exchange and cooperation in order to foster global future talent. This is a follow-up measure in response to the increased international interest in Gyeonggi education after last year's 'International Forum on the Future of Education,' which was co-hosted with UNESCO.
The visit of the delegations from the Ministries of Education of the three African countries was organized as part of the 'Phase 3 International Development Cooperation Project for Supporting Educational Innovation Using ICT,' led by UNESCO headquarters.
Before visiting the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, the delegation visited Gyeongi Eumeumon School and Sanui Elementary School in Suwon, where they observed the operation of the online joint curriculum and examples of customized classes utilizing Hi-Learning, followed by a discussion session.
