Discovery of 104 Tasks Including Institutional Improvements

On June 10, Jeollanam-do held the "New Government National Agenda Proposal Discovery and Reporting Meeting" in line with the inauguration of the Lee Jae-myung administration, discussing strategies to ensure that key provincial issues?such as the Solaseado AI Energy New City project?and proposals for institutional improvements are reflected in the new government’s national agenda.
The meeting, presided over by Jeollanam-do Governor Kim Youngrok, was convened as a proactive measure to ensure that Jeollanam-do’s core issues for future development are included in the new government’s national agenda.
Jeollanam-do identified 104 proposals, focusing on: ▲core tasks and provincial issues intensively proposed by the province during the presidential election campaign that must be included in the national agenda, ▲tasks linked to the province’s key issues among policy pledges, metropolitan pledges, and city/county pledges, and ▲institutional improvements not listed in the pledge book but deemed necessary for inclusion in the national agenda.
The main proposals include: ▲development of the Solaseado AI Energy New City, ▲a mega project for the transformation of the petrochemical and steel industries, ▲creation of an AI-based advanced agri-industry convergence zone, ▲development of Muan International Airport as a leading gateway airport in Northeast Asia, and ▲establishment of a national medical school in Jeollanam-do, which currently has no medical school.
