Gapyeong County's 'Jaraseom Flower Festa' Surpasses 100,000 Visitors in 16 Days

Agricultural Specialty Sales Surpass 400 Million Won
Establishing Itself as a Leading Festival in Gyeonggi Province

Gapyeong County in Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Taewon) announced on June 10 that the '2025 Jaraseom Flower Festa' surpassed 100,000 cumulative visitors just 16 days after its opening.

According to the county, a total of 108,312 visitors attended the festival from its opening on May 24 through June 8, over a period of 16 days. During this time, the cumulative sales at the "Farmer's Baro Market," a local agricultural specialty market, also exceeded 400 million won.


Interest in the festival increased after it was featured on broadcast media such as SBS's "Live Today" and KBS's "Live Info." As a result of this exposure, the number of paid visitors from outside the region increased by 5,969 compared to the same period last year.


A total of 36 businesses are participating in the "Farmer's Baro Market" within the festival grounds, showcasing Gapyeong County's agricultural specialties such as pine nuts, grape juice, and king oyster mushrooms, which have been well received by visitors.


Held under the theme "Communication and Harmony, Connecting Nature and People through Flowers," this year's Flower Festa runs until June 15 on Jaraseom Island in Gapyeong County, Gyeonggi Province. The festival venue features approximately 79,200 square meters planted with more than 20 types of flowers, including poppies, canola, and mini zinnias, providing visitors with a variety of sights and a healing space.
