Genesis BBQ Group to Sponsor FC Barcelona Seoul Match for 30th Anniversary Event

Genesis BBQ Group, a chicken franchise celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, will sponsor the FC Barcelona Asia Tour Seoul Match, featuring the Spanish professional football club FC Barcelona. BBQ plans to secure 30,000 tickets for the Seoul match and provide them to customers.
Yoon Honggeun, Chairman of Genesis BBQ, is introducing the event at the FC Barcelona Asia Tour Seoul Match invitation sponsorship announcement held on the 10th at Lotte Hotel Sogongdong, Jung-gu, Seoul.
On June 10, Genesis BBQ Group held a press conference at Lotte Hotel Sogongdong, Jung-gu, Seoul, and announced that it would invite 30,000 members of the general public and customers to the FC Barcelona Asia Tour Seoul Match through the 'Golden Ticket Festa' promotion. This visit by FC Barcelona to South Korea is the first in 15 years since 2010, and the match against FC Seoul will take place on July 31.
The Golden Ticket Festa will run for a total of 45 days, from June 11 to July 25, through the company's own application, the 'BBQ App.' The BBQ App currently has about 4 million registered members. BBQ expects that, since the promotion is conducted via its own app, it could help franchise owners whose profitability has recently been impacted by delivery app fees and other factors.
Everyone will be given at least one chance to enter the ticket draw for this event. Any existing BBQ App user will receive one entry, and new users who download and register for the BBQ App will also receive one entry. Additionally, if a customer refers a friend and that friend registers, the referring customer will receive an extra entry. Furthermore, when purchasing chicken through the app, one entry is automatically granted for each chicken purchased.
BBQ stated that, as this event commemorates the brand’s 30th anniversary, they have ensured that loyal customers have ample opportunities to participate. Customers who make frequent purchases through the BBQ App during the event period will receive tickets each week, and the top purchasers during the event period will be given additional tickets. Some tickets will also be set aside for underprivileged groups. In addition, various events will be held through BBQ’s official Instagram account during the same period, with tickets awarded as prizes.
A BBQ representative explained, "The Golden Ticket Festa, celebrating our 30th anniversary, has been planned so that BBQ and our customers can share in the excitement of global sports through FC Barcelona’s first visit to Korea in 15 years. As this is a special opportunity for people in Korea to watch FC Barcelona play in person, we are thoroughly preparing, including expanding our server capacity."
