Hongseong Sky Tower, located in Sokdong Village, Seobu-myeon, Hongseong County, has surpassed a cumulative total of 220,000 visitors and is emerging as a new landmark in South Chungcheong Province. In celebration of the summer season, the tower will extend its operating hours.

On June 10, Hongseong County announced that, in line with the summer season, it has decided to extend the operating hours of Hongseong Sky Tower until 9:00 p.m. from June to August, and that the extended schedule has been in effect since June 7.

The extension of evening hours at Hongseong Sky Tower aims to provide visitors with a more relaxed experience by enhancing convenience for tourists who come to enjoy the famous sunsets of the West Coast.

Nightscape lighting will be operated until 10:00 p.m., offering visitors a romantic night view.

Hongseong Sky Tower has surpassed 220,000 cumulative visitors just 11 months after its opening. Even though more than 46% of visitors are eligible for free admission, direct revenue has reached 184 million won, and the economic ripple effect through increased indirect local consumption by attracting tourists is estimated to exceed 7 billion won.

In addition, more than 82% of visitors are from outside the area, which has significantly contributed to the revitalization of nearby commercial districts and has encouraged private development within the region, thereby greatly boosting the overall local tourism industry.

Meanwhile, at the nearby Sokdong Coastal Park, hydrangea and lavender gardens have been established and will begin blooming at the end of June, providing visitors with a wealth of attractions through the autumn season.
