Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province held a "Safety Inspection Day" campaign on June 7, during the Yangsan Woongsang Hoeyajae Festival at Woongsang Sports Park. The event was attended by Mayor Na Dongyeon, the Yangsan Fire Station, safety inspectors, and members of the women's civil defense corps.
This campaign was conducted during the Woongsang Hoeyajae Festival, which is the most popular and widely attended event among citizens in eastern Yangsan, in order to maximize the promotional effect of "Safety Inspection Day," which is held on the 4th of every month.
The campaign focused on topics such as preventing water-related accidents, maintaining storm drains in preparation for summer heavy rains, and informing citizens about how to report safety issues through the Safety Sinmungo, all taking into account seasonal factors.
In particular, promotional items and brochures about the Safety Sinmungo were distributed to festival visitors, helping to raise public awareness about safety.
A city official stated, "We are pleased to have been able to highlight the importance of safety to so many citizens gathered at the Woongsang Hoeyajae Festival. We will continue to conduct regular safety inspections and education so that Yangsan can remain a safe city where citizens can live in a secure environment."
Yangsan City places the highest priority on the safety of its citizens and plans to further strengthen community safety by continuing to conduct various safety campaigns and educational programs in the future.
