Support Provided for Business Partner Meetings and IR Pitching for Eight Companies

Daejeon Technopark announced on the 10th that it operated a program to support promising local companies in entering the North American market, held in Seattle, Washington, USA, from the 1st to the 5th (local time).
Eight companies participated in the program, exploring opportunities to enter the US market through various activities such as business partner meetings and IR pitching sessions with local global companies and investors, as well as visits to global IT companies.
In particular, as part of a collaborative project between Daejeon City and the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KSC Seattle), six Daejeon-based companies were invited to the "Korea AI Innovation Showcase in Seattle (KOSME DAY)," where two companies delivered IR pitches and attracted the attention of local investors and business partners.
The participating companies stated, "Through the program, we were able to systematically learn how to prepare for and approach overseas market entry, and to explore growth directions together," adding, "We plan to build business models tailored to the local market and continue ongoing cooperation with our partners."
Daejeon TP plans to use this program as a starting point to closely communicate with the Seattle Economic Development Corporation (GSP) and the Daejeon-Seattle North America Overseas Trade Office, and to support Daejeon companies from their initial entry to settlement, including proof of concept (PoC) support and residency at KSC Seattle.
On the 5th (local time), Daejeon TP also signed a three-party agreement with Seattle Partners (SP), a local professional accelerator in the US, and the Innopolis Venture Association, which supports the growth of Daejeon venture companies.
Lee Kyuhun, Director of Policy Planning at Daejeon TP, stated, "As a result of providing systematic training tailored to Daejeon companies, we were able to facilitate continuous direct business meetings with local global companies, even though this was our first support program," adding, "We will spare no effort to help promising Daejeon companies successfully settle in the local ecosystem and achieve tangible results."
