A Total of 26 Households Selected
Up to 6 Million Won per Household
Muju County in North Jeolla Province is implementing the '2025 Green Remodeling Support Project for Low-Income Households.'
According to the county on June 10, this project is being carried out to provide a safe and comfortable living environment for vulnerable groups. The total project budget is 156 million won, with 50% funded by the lottery fund and 50% by the county budget.
This year, a total of 26 households are eligible for the project. The county will provide up to 6 million won per household to support the installation of eco-friendly facilities such as insulation reinforcement, high-efficiency windows, and boilers.
Choi Younggil, head of the Housing Welfare Team in the Civil Affairs and Volunteer Service Division, stated, "We will focus on providing customized home repair support centered on the needs of recipients, considering energy efficiency and environmental value." He added, "We expect the green remodeling project to serve as a foundation for realizing safe and comfortable housing welfare for neighbors in need."
He further emphasized, "We will continue to do our utmost to identify and implement practical support measures for vulnerable groups in housing."
In addition to the green remodeling project, the county is also promoting other home repair support projects for vulnerable groups, such as the 'Housing Benefit Repair and Maintenance Project' and the 'Rural Disabled Housing Renovation Project,' targeting basic livelihood security recipients, the near-poor, the elderly, and people with disabilities. This year, a total of 76 sites are scheduled to be repaired.
In 2023, 102 sites were improved, and in 2024, 81 sites were repaired, reflecting the needs of the recipients and receiving positive feedback.
