74 Rural Experience Farms to Offer a Variety of Programs on June 21 and 22
The Chungnam Provincial Government announced on June 10 that the 14th Chungcheong Region Rural Experience Festival, where visitors can experience the charm of rural Chungcheong with all five senses, will be held at the National Sejong Arboretum from June 21 to 22.
Under the slogan "Rest Today, Rural Tomorrow!", this festival will feature five themed zones: Family & Play Zone, Nature & Sensibility Zone, Healing & Emotion Zone, Tradition & Creation Zone, and Sustainability & Future Zone. A total of 74 rural experience farms from the Chungnam, Sejong, and Daejeon regions will present a variety of programs.
At the festival, visitors can enjoy rural experiences that are rarely found in urban areas, such as making traditional sauces, crafting handmade diffusers, natural dyeing, and upcycling.
Seo Dongcheol, head of the Rural Resources Division of Chungnam Province, stated, "This event, planned in celebration of the 2025-2026 Chungnam Visit Years, is a signature festival designed to promote Chungnam's rural tourism resources nationwide and to expand urban-rural exchange. Through this hands-on agricultural festival, which both local residents and city dwellers can enjoy together, we aim to widely share the value and appeal of rural areas."
Meanwhile, the 13th festival, held last year at Sapgyocheon Sea Park in Dangjin, attracted more than 11,000 visitors. According to a participant survey, 81.7% expressed satisfaction, and 82.3% indicated their intention to revisit.
