'Loconomy' is a compound word combining 'local' and 'economy,' referring to consumer activities involving products made with regional specialties.
Emart24 will sequentially launch four products starting June 11: Bulgogi Chive Gimbap, Caprese Salad, Tomato Chicken Sandwich, and Tomato Stir-fried Set Meal Lunchbox. These products are ready-to-eat meals that feature local specialties such as 'chives' from Sancheong-gun and 'tomatoes' from Hadong-gun.
In the future, Emart24 also plans to introduce a 'Dried Persimmon Red Bean Mochi' product using 'dried persimmon,' another specialty of Sancheong-gun.
Emart24 will continue its regional coexistence project in the second half of the year by launching more products made with local specialties.
Kim Jeonghee, MD of the PL Development Team at Emart24, said, "We hope that products using local specialties will provide at least some support to the local economies of Sancheong-gun and Hadong-gun," adding, "Through this project, we expect to promote each region's specialties and famous tourist attractions nationwide through Emart24 stores."
