Recruitment for Gyeonggi Youth Job Matchup Participants Begins June 10... 89 Companies Participating

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Job Foundation are recruiting the second round of participants for the "Gyeonggi Youth Job Matchup" program, which connects local youth with outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and supports them through conversion to full-time employment, from June 10 to June 24.

The Gyeonggi Youth Job Matchup program is designed to address the job mismatch between unemployed youth and SMEs experiencing recruitment difficulties.

Under this program, young job seekers work at matched companies for two months, after which the companies decide on full-time employment based on their own evaluations.

Gyeonggi Province assigns a dedicated career counselor to each participating youth, providing one-on-one workplace adaptation consulting and customized job training.

Only companies with genuine hiring intentions are eligible to participate, and 89 companies have been selected after reviewing whether they offer working conditions preferred by youth, such as work-life balance and flexible work arrangements.

Applicants must be unemployed youth aged 19 to 39 residing in Gyeonggi Province. However, those on leave or currently employed are excluded. Applications can be submitted online through the JobKorea Matchup recruitment portal until June 24. Eligibility criteria and support benefits can be found on the Gyeonggi Job Foundation website. For details on recruitment fields and required (preferred) qualifications for each company, refer to the detailed pages. For further inquiries, contact the Gyeonggi Job Foundation Convergence Business Division at 031-270-6648.

Gyeonggi Province has also established and operates a "Matchup Exclusive Recruitment Portal" within Jobaba to provide employment information to youth as needed.

Recruitment announcements and selection schedules are updated frequently depending on each company's situation. The eligibility criteria are the same as for regular recruitment, but applications can only be submitted through the exclusive recruitment portal.

Bae Jinggi, Director of the Gyeonggi Province Job and Economic Policy Division, stated, "The goal of this program is to reduce trial and error in the job search process for youth and support their economic stability. We aim to design jobs from the youth's perspective and match talent to meet companies' expectations, serving as a link between youth who want to work and companies seeking talent."
