At the Supreme Council meeting of the Democratic Party held at the National Assembly in Yeouido on June 9, Acting Leader Park stated, "On his first day in office, President Lee Jae-myung launched an Emergency Economic Response Task Force and received reports on economic issues at the cabinet meeting," adding, "As the ruling party, the Democratic Party will firmly support the government's efforts."

He continued, "When asked what the top priority for the next government should be before the presidential election, 6 out of 10 citizens cited price stability as the most important issue," emphasizing, "As the people have said, stabilizing prices must be the starting point for stabilizing people's livelihoods."

Acting Leader Park also stressed, "We will pursue a supplementary budget (extra budget) to support both price stability and economic recovery." He explained, "With consumption declining and local businesses suffering, we need measures to boost spending and revive the economy," and argued, "Injecting national finances will serve as a catalyst for a virtuous economic cycle and a strong pillar supporting people's lives."

Addressing the People Power Party, he said, "Since you pledged a 30 trillion won supplementary budget during the presidential campaign, I urge swift and bipartisan cooperation for the sake of the people's livelihoods."

Meanwhile, he also called for active participation from party members in the Democratic Party's upcoming floor leader election, scheduled for June 12-13. Acting Leader Park noted, "A joint debate among floor leader candidates will be held at 2 p.m. on June 10," and emphasized, "As the ruling party and the largest party, I hope everyone will carefully consider who is best suited to lead the Democratic Party in the National Assembly."
