HiteJinro's 'Jinro' Ranks as World's Top-Selling Spirit for 24 Consecutive Years

HiteJinro's soju sales last year secured the company the title of the world's top-selling distilled spirit for the 24th consecutive year.

On June 9, HiteJinro announced that its brand 'Jinro' had been selected as the 'world's best-selling spirit' by the British beverage industry magazine Drinks International.


Over the past year, HiteJinro sold a total of 96.8 million cases (9 liters per case) of soju products such as Chamisul worldwide, maintaining its undisputed position at number one. This sales volume is more than twice the total sales of tequila.


Since declaring its global vision of 'Jinro for Everyone' last year, HiteJinro has continued to pursue aggressive, locally tailored strategies. The company is expanding its brand presence through a variety of initiatives, including product localization, sports sponsorships, support for major festivals, and collaborations with globally popular content.


For example, from May 31 to June 1, HiteJinro participated as the official soju partner at the large-scale music festival 'Head In The Clouds 2025 (HITC 2025)' held in Los Angeles, USA, engaging with local consumers. Head In The Clouds is a global music festival centered around Asian artists and culture, and is successfully held in major cities around the world, including Los Angeles.


At this festival, HiteJinro operated the 'Jinro Bar', offering five types of fruit liqueurs including the new Lemon Isul, as well as a variety of soju cocktails, providing opportunities for consumers to experience the brand. The company also installed a large toad sculpture, operated a photo zone, and offered goods through interactive social media events, adding to the excitement of the festival.


Hwang Jungho, Executive Vice President of HiteJinro's Overseas Business Division, stated, "Jinro is solidifying its status as a global soju brand by maintaining the unprecedented record of being the world's top-selling spirit for 24 consecutive years," and added, "We will continue to strengthen our locally tailored strategies to grow into a popular alcoholic beverage brand that naturally becomes part of people's daily lives around the world."
