Fox Claims Second Win of the Year, Burns Settles for Runner-up
Byung-Hun An finished in the top 10.
On June 8 (local time), at the TPC Toronto North Course (par 70, 7,389 yards) in Ontario, Toronto, Canada, Byung-Hun An shot a 4-under-par 66 in the final fourth round of the PGA Tour RBC Canadian Open (total prize money: $9.8 million), finishing tied for 6th place at 15-under-par 265. Although he missed out on his first PGA Tour victory, this marks his best individual result of the year and his second top-10 finish, following his tie for 8th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March.

Byung-Hun An started the round tied for 9th, two strokes behind the lead, and carded seven birdies and three bogeys. He joined the competition for the title with a birdie on the first hole (par 5), followed by consecutive birdies on the 5th and 6th holes. After offsetting a bogey on the 7th hole (par 3) with a birdie on the 8th hole (par 4), he added more birdies on the 11th and 12th holes, but lost one stroke over the next six holes, losing momentum in his pursuit of the leaders. His impressive average driving distance was 340.80 yards, and his greens-in-regulation rate was 72.22%. He averaged 1.62 putts per green in regulation.
Ryan Fox (New Zealand) reduced his score by four strokes to tie Sam Burns (USA) at 18-under-par 262, then secured the victory with a birdie on the fourth playoff hole, which resumed at the 18th hole (par 5). After claiming his first career win at the OneFlight Myrtle Beach Classic last month, this is his second victory of the season in just one month. He earned a winner's prize of $1,764,000 (approximately 2.4 billion KRW).
Kevin Yu (Taiwan) finished third at 17-under-par 263, while Cameron Young and Matt McCarty (both USA) tied for fourth at 16-under-par 264. Matteo Manassero (Italy) and Andrew Putnam (USA) joined Byung-Hun An in the group tied for sixth. World No. 2 Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Im Sungjae, and Kim Joohyung missed the cut.
