According to the business community on June 8, the AmCham delegation will participate in the annual "Washington Doorknock" program, visiting Washington, D.C. from June 10 to 12 (local time). During their stay, the delegation plans to meet with U.S. government and congressional officials, as well as think tanks, to discuss ways to maintain and strengthen the economic partnership between South Korea and the United States.

In particular, policy changes resulting from the launch of the new South Korean administration are expected to be a key agenda item, especially in the wake of President Jae Myung Lee's recent election victory.

Each year, AmCham supports cooperation for the prosperity and security of both countries' economies by serving as a bridge between the U.S. and South Korean governments and businesses through the Doorknock program.

Previously, in a congratulatory statement on President Lee's election, AmCham said, "Under the new leadership, the Korean economy is poised for a new leap forward, and with the launch of the second Trump administration in the United States, the U.S.-Korea relationship is at a critical turning point. We will further solidify economic cooperation between the two countries and fulfill our role as a trusted bridge and economic partner."
