Jiho Yang Takes Second, Bio Kim Third, Songkyu Yoo Tied for Fifth
'The King of Screen Golf,' Hongtaek Kim, has conquered the field.
On June 8, at the Asiad Country Club in Gijang-gun, Busan (par 71, 7,104 yards), Hongtaek Kim shot a 3-under-par in the final 4th round of the KPGA Tour Baeksong Holdings-Asiad CC Busan Open (total prize money: 1 billion won), finishing two strokes ahead to claim victory with an 11-under-par 273. This marks his third career win and his first in a year since winning the GS Caltex Maekyung Open in May 2024. The winner’s prize is 200 million won.

During the practice round of the season opener, the DB Insurance Promy Open in April, Hongtaek Kim withdrew after suffering a minor muscle tear around his back. He then missed the cut in four consecutive tournaments. With this victory, he has shown that he has fully recovered from his injury. He secured the win in his sixth tournament of the season. Notably, Kim’s joy was even greater as he once again claimed victory in Busan, where he achieved his first career win as a rookie at the 2017 Dong-A Membership Group Dynamic Busan Open.
Hongtaek Kim is a star player both online and offline. On June 1, he won the 4th round of the Shinhan Investment G Tour, a screen golf tournament. He is the dominant force in screen golf, with a record 15 career wins in screen golf tournaments alone.
Jiho Yang reduced his score by one stroke to finish as runner-up (9-under-par 275). Bio Kim, after his tee shot on the final 18th hole (par 4) went into the right OB area, lost three strokes at once and finished third (8-under-par 276). Taehun Ok finished fourth (7-under-par 277), while Songkyu Yoo and Daehan Lee, both third-place finishers at the Kolon Korea Open, shared fifth place (5-under-par 279). Jinho Choi finished tied for ninth (3-under-par 281).
