Kim Dongyeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, has begun efforts to expand communication, including cooperation with the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly.
On June 8, Gyeonggi Province announced that Governor Kim Dongyeon had dinner on June 7 at a restaurant in Ingye-dong, Suwon, with Kim Jinkyeong, Chairperson of the Provincial Assembly, Choi Jonghyun, Floor Leader of the Democratic Party, and Kim Jeongho, Floor Leader of the People Power Party.

An official from the Gyeonggi Province spokesperson’s office stated, "During the dinner, which lasted about two hours, the participants agreed on the necessity of addressing livelihood-related budgets and shared the intention to facilitate smooth communication for the development of Gyeonggi Province, including the restoration of the 'Ruling-Opposition-Government Cooperation Committee.'"
Previously, on April 30, the day after returning to provincial administration following the Democratic Party presidential primary, Governor Kim visited Chairperson Kim Jinkyeong and the floor leaders of both parties.
