Daytime Highs Reach 32 Degrees Celsius
in Uiseong, Gimcheon, Gumi, and Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province

On June 9, daytime high temperatures are expected to rise above 30 degrees Celsius, bringing hot weather. In areas such as Uiseong, Gimcheon, Gumi, and Gyeongsan in North Gyeongsang Province, temperatures will reach up to 32 degrees Celsius. In some parts of the Seoul metropolitan area, North Chungcheong Province, and inland areas of the Gyeongsang region, the maximum perceived temperature is expected to exceed 31 degrees Celsius.


The Korea Meteorological Administration forecast on June 8 that the entire country will be mostly cloudy on Monday, June 9, but will clear up from the afternoon.

Morning low temperatures by region are expected to be: Seoul 19 degrees, Incheon 18 degrees, Chuncheon 17 degrees, Gangneung 19 degrees, Daejeon 21 degrees, Daegu 20 degrees, Jeonju 21 degrees, Gwangju 20 degrees, Busan 19 degrees, and Jeju 19 degrees.


Daytime high temperatures are expected to be: Seoul 30 degrees, Incheon 26 degrees, Chuncheon 30 degrees, Gangneung 28 degrees, Daejeon 31 degrees, Daegu 31 degrees, Jeonju 31 degrees, Gwangju 30 degrees, Busan 25 degrees, and Jeju 25 degrees.


Wave heights in the seas will range from 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the coastal waters of the East Sea and South Sea, and 0.5 meters in the coastal waters of the West Sea. In the offshore areas (distant seas within approximately 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea.
