According to political sources on June 7, President Lee called former candidate Kim on June 6 to ask about the well-being of Kim and his wife.

In response, former candidate Kim is said to have expressed his gratitude to President Lee.

This phone conversation between President Lee and former candidate Kim took place two days after President Lee's inauguration on June 4. On the day of his inauguration, President Lee also spoke by phone with Lee Junseok, former candidate of the Reform Party, and Kwon Youngguk, former candidate of the Democratic Labor Party.
